What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Mass registration due to COVID legal requirements in Basel, Switzerland
When you register to attend Mass we are using a service called TicketTailor.com. This is an automated ticketing website where we collect your name, address, email and telephone number. This is only collected to ensure that we do not exceed the legal limit of number of people allowed in the church at one time and to report to the city of Basel in case of contact tracing. If you register for Mass we will also add you to our list of members and add you to our email list. You can be removed from our member list by letting us know but we must keep your information for COVID tracing compliance at TicketTailor.
Mass live streaming on YouTube due to COVID
Mass is live streamed on our YouTube channel and while we do not intentionally film Mass attendees it could happen that you could be filmed by accident. The people filming are not professional filmographers and your image may be caught by accident. If you do not agree to this, please do not physically attend Mass. If you decide not to attend Mass, please inform us so that we can make the space available to others.
Membership and contact forms
When you register on our website and join our community, by filling in our forms, we will use your information to send you occasional emails with events related to our community. Your data will not be shared with anyone except as required by law in Basel, Switzerland.
Religious Education Form
Our religious education form is used to register your children for religious education classes and your email will be added to our list of members.
Nursery Registration Form
Our Nursery registration form is used to register you – as a volunteer helper – and / or your child for the nursery offered during our mass. Your email will be added to our list of members.
Comments
If you leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture from the Gravatar service is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
