Summer Greetings and Blessing

Dear ESRCCB Family, as summer unfolds and many begin a period of vacation and leisure, I pray that these days may be a source of peace, refreshment, and new energy.May this season offer opportunities to slow down, enjoy the company of loved ones, and recognize God’s goodness in the simple gifts of everyday life.May Christ, who walked with His disciples on every road, accompany you on your journeys. May He protect you from all harm, grant you joyful moments with your loved ones, and lead you safely home.May the Lord bless you and keep you. May He let His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. May He look upon you with kindness and give you His peace.I wish you a happy, restful, and blessed summer.Fr. SibiFresh winds blowing… A reminder of the cooling comfort we’re working to bring into the church this summer. At the AGM held last month, the following elected persons volunteered to serve for the coming year:Joe Paola – continuing as ChairpersonJude Aranha – newly volunteered as SecretaryMandy Ward – continuing as TreasurerTwo additional topics were discussed at the AGM: a request for fans during the warm summer months, and cushions for kneeling for those who struggle with the current benches.Together with the Spanish Mission, who use the church in the mornings, we are currently evaluating various fan options and hope to have these available in the coming weeks. We also need to be mindful of safety when installing fans, so they will most likely be placed at the front/back of the church to avoid any cables where someone could trip.Kneeling pads are also being evaluated and will soon be available for those who need one.Religious Education Registration now open As we look ahead to the new school year, we warmly invite you to register your children for our Religious Education Program. Our sessions offer a welcoming space where children can grow in faith, learn the stories and teachings of Jesus, and build friendships within our ESRCCB community.Whether your child is beginning their faith journey or preparing for a sacrament, our program provides:age‑appropriate lessonsengaging activitiesa supportive and caring environmentopportunities to deepen their relationship with GodYour participation helps us plan effectively for class sizes, materials, and catechists — so early registration is a great help to our team. We look forward to walking with your children as they discover the beauty of our Catholic faith and become more rooted in God’s love.Students who register will receive program confirmation and all the dates early August, or as soon as more than 5 students have enrolled for the corresponding class.Program commences on 30 August 2026 – Session 1 with Session 2 on 20 September 2026.We can’t wait to welcome your children into this year’s program which starts after the summer holidays. Service Matters

Our community thrives because of the youOne of the greatest strengths of our ESRCCB community is something beautifully simple: we are a community built by volunteers.Everything we do — every Mass, every celebration, every children’s program, every moment of welcome — is made possible because ordinary people offer their time, their gifts, and their hearts. As we look ahead to the coming months, we warmly invite you to consider becoming part of our volunteer team. Whether you have a lot of time or just a little, whether you prefer to be in front or behind the scenes, there is a place for you.Our community needs helping hands in the following areas:Hospitality Members - welcoming at MassLectors and Altar Servershelping with Religious Educationsupporting our Social events and celebrationssinging with the choircouncil members – Adult Faith and Liturgy Coordination positions currently vacantVolunteering is not only a service — it’s a way to feel more connected, to meet others, and to help our parish continue to grow as a warm, vibrant, faith‑filled community. If you’ve ever thought, “Maybe I could help with that…” — this is your moment. Your presence, your talents, and your willingness truly make a difference. If you would like to volunteer or learn more, please speak to one of the Council Members at Mass or contact us at info@esrccb.orgTogether, we can continue to build a community where everyone feels welcome, supported, and at home.
